1.Why this policy exists

This policy is part of our Terms of Service. It applies to everyone in your workspace and to every AI agent you run on Crulon.

2.AI and recording notices

  • You decide whether and how your calls tell people they’re speaking with an AI or being recorded: in your agent’s greeting, with the outbound AI disclosure in your workspace’s outbound settings, or another way that suits your business.
  • Some laws require these notices, or everyone’s consent before a call is recorded. Where they apply to your calls, giving the notice and getting the consent is your responsibility.

3.Outbound calls and texts

  • Have the consent the law requires for the calls and texts you make. Keeping a record of it is your best protection if anyone complains.
  • Check numbers against the applicable Do Not Call lists.
  • For marketing calls and texts, follow the rules on calling hours: in the US, 8am to 9pm in the recipient’s local time, or stricter where the law says so.
  • Honour requests to stop promptly, within the time the law allows. Crulon opts out any number that texts STOP for you; do the same for calls.
  • Show a caller ID you are allowed to use, and never spoof one.
  • Register your brand and campaigns before you send business texts in the US.

4.Voices and impersonation

  • Don’t impersonate any person, business or government body without their permission.

5.Things you may not do

  • Make calls or send texts that are unlawful, fraudulent, threatening or harassing.
  • Collect payment details, passwords or other sensitive information under false pretences.
  • Make calls or send texts in bulk to people who haven’t agreed to receive them.
  • Call emergency services for anything but a genuine emergency.
  • Aim your calls or texts at children under 13, or knowingly collect their data, except as the law allows.
  • Use Crulon to handle protected health information unless we’ve signed an agreement that covers it.

Never use Crulon for:

  • Third-party lead generation, or selling or sharing the contacts you call or text.
  • Payday or high-interest loans, debt relief or credit repair, and get-rich-quick or pyramid schemes.
  • Gambling, cannabis, or anything illegal where the person you’re calling or texting is.
  • Sexual content, hate speech, or content that promotes violence.

Only with our written approval first:

  • Debt collection on behalf of someone else. Reminding your own customers about their own bills is fine.
  • Political campaigns and fundraising.
  • Lending, insurance and other regulated financial services.
  • Marketing alcohol, tobacco, vaping or firearms.

Even with our approval, you are responsible for following the laws that apply to these calls and texts.

6.Protecting the Service

  • Don’t probe, scan or test the security of the Service without our written permission.
  • Don’t interfere with or overload the Service, carriers or other customers.
  • Don’t resell or share access to the Service except as your plan allows.

7.What happens if this policy is broken

If something in your workspace breaks this policy, we’ll usually contact you first and give you time to fix it. Where it is urgent, or puts people, carriers or the Service at risk, we may block calls or messages, pause agents or campaigns, or suspend the workspace straight away. We may report unlawful activity to carriers or authorities.
